Pas mikir jawabannya, saya keinget sama adegan dalam film Where The Wild Things Are ketika Max bertemu dengan Bob & Terry, dua ekor burung hantu sahabat KW (kei-dabel-yu). KW bilang akan lebih baik kalo Max bertanya pada mereka dalam tujuh kata. Kemudian Max menyusun kata-kata seperti ini, “How. Do. I. Make. Everyone. O. K.”
Jujur saya nggak tahu tentang kata-kata Kahlil Gibran yang dirujuk dalam prompt. Tapi jawaban saya mungkin adalah:
I love you because I am you.
We tend to try to recognize everyone, we collect information about each other, we self-defend from someone new, we make comments and judgement about others,…not necessarily because we’re different.
We’re tracking each other down. We may want to always check out first if you and others can build mutual connection out of your differences.
Yet deep inside, you want to know if you are feeling secure and safe enough to act out the unconditional kindness and love. Because that is all our original function that is given when we’re created; our original state that is peaceful, all sufficient, happy, caring and loving. We sort of subconsciously do this to remind ourselves, that you are me, I am you, we were one, we came from one source.
Never need to be too insecure of yourself or others. We don’t have to try, we don’t really need any effort to love unconditionally. We always do that since the beginning. Physical boundaries and differences are only tools to create and build something good for others while we’re hanging around in this world. But the next person in your daily life is just another part of your soul. They’re there because of you. You’re here because of me, because of them.
Are you in there? I am here. I love you.
